“The property was clean and functional but did not live up to the expectations of the photos / description.”

Oven is broken and can’t maintain different temperatures. Not that you know what temperature you’re cooking at as the temperature markings are gone. On the subject of the kitchen, can opener is probably as old of the cottage and doesn’t work (needs replacing. Small touches like this show the standard of the property). Timer on boiler also seems to be broken. Your options are continuous (it gets pretty hot) or off. Hot water from the boiler is luke warm at best Damp/Discolouration in ...

Hot water from the boiler is luke warm at best Damp/Discolouration in the lounge around the fireplace. Same problem in the upstairs bedroom. That upstairs bedroom could also do with the eaves cleaning to remove cobwebs and insects. For the price of the property, the above issues and a few other small finishing touches being remedied would make me likely to revisit and/or recommend to friends and family but I wouldn’t at this point in time.
