“The beds are really, uncomfortably firm.”

I would not return for this reason alone. All other aspects of the house are spot on. The overall cleanliness would benefit from attention e.g. very dusty light fittings, architrave, courtyard in need of a jet wash.

Dear Robert, We're sorry you thought the beds uncomfortable. We recognise the beds are firm but have not found them uncomfortable and know they are of a high quality. We're glad you were pleased with everything else in the house and trust hope you had a good stay. We'll be discussing your comments about dusty items with the cleaners as it appears their usual high standards may have dropped slightly. We're confident improvements will follow. The courtyard will be jet-washed as part of the regular maintenance cycle which is in place to keep Derwent Cottage in tip-top condition for our guests. Property Owner
