“A lovely holiday home, great size and very clean and comfortable.”

A short walk to Keswick centre. There were only 4 of us but had 6 of us been there, it was very roomy and we would stay there again.

Brandelhow House is an elegant Victorian terrace house located in a quiet residential area of Keswick that is under ten minutes walk from Keswick Market Square.

This lovely property has been carefully presented by the owners to offer a very homely feel, offering high quality accommodation in a great location. Whilst retaining many original period features that add character, the house is presented in a contemporary style with a large sitting room, a dining room with patio doors, a high quality kitchen, and a large utility/boot room on the ground floor.

Upstairs there is a choice of three bedrooms that are complemented by one ensuite shower room, a family bathroom with feature bath and a dressing room. Just a few minutes walk from Brandelhow House you will find yourself in the heart of the town with its great selection of local restaurants, bars and cafés, a wonderful selection of local shops and, of course, the award winning twice weekly market.

You are also a short walk from the shores of Derwentwater.

Choose from a fantastic selection of walks including gentle rambles along the lake shore or longer trails to popular Ashness Bridge and Surprise View or the nearby Castlerigg Stone Circle.

Those seeking out the high fells can head to the summits of Latrigg and Skiddaw that dominate the towns skyline and mountain bikers will enjoy the award winning Altura Trails in Whinlatter Forest. Accommodation in detail The front door of Brandelhow House opens to a spacious hallway that runs through the house linking the sitting room, dining room and kitchen.

The bright and airy sitting room, with large bay window, is furnished with comfortable sofas arranged around the wood burning fire and TV. The family dining room offers a large dining table, ideal for social and relaxing dinners with family and friends and from here patio doors open to the rear of the property.

The shaker style fitted kitchen is beautifully presented and incorporates an under-counter fridge, range cooker with five ring gas hob and electric double oven, dishwasher and microwave.

The breakfast bar is great for a quick brew in the morning or doubles as the drinks bar in the evening!

A large utility room provides plenty of space for coats and boots and is equipped with washing machine, tumble dryer and freezer. Choose from any of the three welcoming bedrooms located on the first floor.

The master bedroom is presented with a comfortable double bed and benefits from a luxurious ensuite shower room with walk in shower, basin and wc.

To the rear of the house there is the pretty second double bedroom with views over Walla Crag.

At the front of the house the final bedroom is the biggest and features a huge superking bed that can also be split into twin beds (please specify on booking). The bedrooms are complemented by a high-quality family bathroom with feature rolltop bath, walk-in shower, basin and WC and there is the added bonus of a dressing room located off the landing. To the rear of the house there is a courtyard patio with a table that seats six – just the spot for a morning coffee or a drink on a summer evening.

The lockable outhouse is available for guests and offers secure storage for mountain bikes and outdoor equipment. Free, unlimited on street parking is available on both sides of the road in close proximity of the house.

(subject to availability) Location Keswick is one of the Lake District’s most popular destinations.

This friendly town hosts the very popular twice weekly market that has recently won the coveted “Best Outdoor Market” in the Great British Market Awards.

The village also offers a fantastic array of shops offering everything from craft bakeries and local produce, antiques, crafts and much, much more. If you are looking for somewhere to eat and drink, a week just won’t be long enough to sample the great range of pubs, restaurants, bistros, cafes and wine bars!

For a great evening out why not visit the 100-year-old Alhambra offering first class cinema entertainment in traditional surroundings or enjoy an evening at “the most beautiful and friendly theatre in Britain”, the 400-seat Theatre By The Lake on the shores of Derwentwater. Enjoy a cruise on Derwentwater, walk onto the fells; Cat Bells, Skiddaw, Coledale Horseshoe and Blencathra are all nearby, head underground at Honister Slate Mines, or enjoy mountain biking in Whinlatter Forest. For day trips throughout the Lake District, Ullswater is a short drive away offering lake cruises, great walking and the beautiful Aira Force Waterfall.

Buttermere and Crummock Water offer sublime scenery a short distance away.

Meanwhile, Ashness Bridge and Surprise View situated above the Borrowdale Valley should not be missed and perhaps even a cup of tea and homemade cake in the unspoilt village of Watendlath.

Note: Strictly only a maximum of 2 well behaved dogs allowed.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £200.
