“Overall the cottage was very nice, we enjoyed our stay and the location was exactly what we were expecting which is a huge tick for us.”

We don’t spend much time in the accommodation on our visits to the Lakes, however we do like to cook for ourselves and we missed not having a couple of utensils to hand like a cheese grater but we managed. The fridge was sparkling clean and the shower was one of the best showers we have ever had in our accommodation which was great, also having a toilet on the ground floor and upstairs was another positive addition. We would happily recommend Holly Cottage, but tidying up the damaged wallpaper/tiles in places, cleaning the cobwebs away and boxing in the boiler would make it look so much better. The heating system was easy to use once we had worked out what we needed to do and we would highly recommend a bigger duvet and towels as they were too small for us. Also if you’re going to provide teabags then perhaps include some coffee and sugar. Also we have had lots of experience of at least a pint of milk in the fridge on check in, and this would have been a nice addition.

Thanks very much for taking the time to give some feedback. All points have been noted and acted upon. The paint brush has been out and where the wallpaper has been knocked by guests cases it's been decorated. I'm really pleased you were comfortable. The joiner has put on his list to Box in the pipes. The crocus bulbs are glorious yellows and purples and the primulas and daffodils are making a glorious show in the sitting area. I've bought tulips today and am planting lots of bulbs for a glorious summer spread of colour. Thank you again, best wishes Helen Property Owner
