“Beautifully presented cottage in the centre of Keswick, with very modern decor.”

Very clean on arrival with a welcome pack on the table. Lovely comfy beds and a large bathroom on the first floor. Really well equipped kitchen for staying in and cooking nights. Only downside is seating in the living room for 4 adults and 2 teenage children was not enough for us all to sit comfortably together. Would definitely stay here again we loved it

“The particulars refer to the 2 floors but we feel it should say that the stairs to both floors are " steep with a bend" which may be difficult for elderly/mobility issues.”

Likewise it should say thee shower room does not have a wash basin but only a "small hand rinse basin", which meant we all had to share the wash basin in the bathroom. The lounge carpet was a trip hazard as it wasooseby the entrance and it needs replacing as it was dirty and dog smelly. The hoover was full and couldn't be used. The kitchen surfaces were not clean and the pan cupboard crammed full. It states there is a shared garden but should say it is across the car parking area, and is not dog friendly (which we were told it was) as it not enclosed and had a sign No dog fouling.

“This was our third year staying at Noble Cottage with our two friends .”

We all were impressed .....again .....with the cleanliness everywhere. Over the years we've stayed in many holiday cottages and there are usually some signs of wear and tear, this is not the case at Noble Cottage . The beds are really comfortable ( this is a rarity i can tell you ) The whole house is beautifully furnished and maintained and as always the real bonus is the parking space . :) All credit to the owners for keeping this house in tip top condition . “As I explained to the Sykes representative over the phone, the house was not as clean as we expected.”

Certainly it was not as clean as the last time we stayed in it a four or five years ago. Food was still in pans (stinking out the cupboard), food remains were over the cutlery, the sinks were not clean and so on.

Only thing I forgot to mention was the main bathroom sink was very slow to drain, it’s certainly blocking but didn’t cause an issue. Would stay at Noble cottage again. Thanks.

“Noble cottage was perfect for our first Christmas trip away.”

A lovely surprise to see it was decorated for Christmas when we arrived and the bottle of Prosecco was a really welcoming touch. The cottage itself was immaculate and plenty of space for four adults and a dog. The parking situation was really handy, with a private parking space directly behind the cottage and plenty of free parking on the street at the front. The cottage is situated a two minute walk from Keswick centre so a great location. We’ll definitely be back!

It was lovely! Major bonus being the parking space out the back right by back door! As parking can be difficult in busy months - so this was great! Also the location is fabulous - minutes walk to the town and shops and also to the nearest co-op. The property was clean and well equipped and a lovely base to return to after a day out and about! Lovely to have a bottle of prosecco on arrival and some biccies! The steps to the 2nd floor are v steep so be careful! We enjoyed our stay and will probably be back! Thanks!

“In 50 years of coming to keswick and staying in a holiday cottage Noble House is the best one for comfort , facilities and being near the town Centre.”

It was like staying in some ones much loved family home. Being dog friendly was great but the real bonus, after many years of scouring the streets for parking ,was that a parking space is provided at the back of the property . We will definitely be coming back to Noble House. The only query I have is why it's listed as accommodation for 6 when it clearly can comfortably take 8 people. ? Plus, there are 3 toilets which is not obvious from the description . Only minor details I know but if, as is usually the case , I was looking to book a holiday home for my family of 8 people then Noble Cottage is one I would have scrolled by.

... exactly what we’re looking for when we’re on holiday. We loved the personal touch of welcoming us with a bottle of bubbles and some nibbles when we arrived! The location was amazing and really central to everything in Keswick! Found a beautiful park close by, some lovely pubs and some great takeaways. It was brilliant that we could enjoy such a great family holiday and bring our well behaved dog with us - we had 3 generations under 1 roof and everyone had the space they needed. I was really pleased to see that the cottage was so clean ( especially after I’d read a recent review that said it needed some extra attention). We look forward to visiting again next year!

“The bins were nearly full when we arrived and there was no instructions about bin day and what has to happen to them so by the time we left we had to put sacks of rubbish on top of the bins which isn’t great for the next group of guests.”

Located in one of the most sought after locations in Keswick, close to the Market Square, Noble Cottage is a traditional Victorian Lakeland slate terrace house which has been refurbished to a high standard whilst retaining so much of its period charm. The owners have gone to considerable effort to make this property a calm and contemporary retreat and an ideal base for friends or families to relax and enjoy a holiday in the very heart of the Lake District. Located only a few minutes' walk from the friendly and bustling village of Keswick, with a vibrant mix of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants surrounding the Market Square which is the focus of the town and home to the twice weekly market. Relax in the lounge with cosy log fire and comfortable leather sofas or enjoy watching a film on the large screen TV.

Spend time relaxing and socialising around the handmade dining table, a popular feature of this cottage.

Enjoy getting out and about on the fells with walks direct from the garden gate including the popular walk to Lattrigg Hill with its breath taking views across the whole of Keswick, Derwentwater and the surrounding valleys. Whether you are looking for a great cottage for a family holiday or a gathering of friends Noble Cottage offers is an excellent cottage to set you in good stead for a memorable stay! Accommodation in detail The property is approached from the road through the front garden with a comfortable garden bench, a great place to sit with a drink and watch the world pass by!.

The front door opens onto a traditional hallway complete with period feature floor tiles and ample coat hanging and a place for boots and shoes. The front lounge is comfortable with a cosy fire, leather sofas and large flat screen TV.

The dining room is a real focal point of this cottage with a handmade, feature, dining table - an ideal place to gather and socialise over a meal and a drink. The modern kitchen offers all the amenities you could require to prepare everything from a hearty Cumbrian breakfast to a fantastic dinner for friends. Head upstairs to the first floor where you will find a the master Double Bedroom and a Twin Bedroom (This room will be locked off if you prefer three doubles).

On this level there is the main family bathroom featuring shower over bath, wash basin and toilet.

There is also a separate WC on this level too. Heading to the second floor are two more Double bedrooms both featuring a large flat screen TV (one of these will be locked off during your stay if you prefer two double and one twin).

On this level there is also a shower room with wash basin and toilet. The rear courtyard offers a small bistro table ideal for a morning coffee or a glass of wine.There is also shared garden area to the rear of the cottage. New this year there is now one private parking space to the rear of the property which is clearly marked.

There is also plenty of unrestricted parking all the way up Stanger Street outside the property. Location Keswick is one of the Lake District's most popular destinations.

This friendly town hosts the very popular twice weekly market that has recently won the coveted 'Best Outdoor Market' in the Great British Market Awards.

The village also offers a fantastic array of shops offering everything from craft bakeries and local produce, antiques, crafts and much, much more. If you are looking for somewhere to eat and drink, a week just won't be long enough to sample the great range of pubs, restaurants, bistros, cafes and wine bars!

For a great evening out why not visit the 100 year old Alhambra offering first class cinema entertainment in traditional surroundings or enjoy an evening at 'the most beautiful and friendly theatre in Britain', the 400 seat Theatre By The Lake on the shores of Derwentwater. Enjoy a cruise on Derwentwater, walk onto the fells; Cat Bells, Skiddaw, Coledale Horeshoe and Blencathra are all nearby, head underground at Honister Slate Mines, enjoy mountain biking in Whinlatter Forest. The popular town of Keswick is the holiday centre of the North of the Lake District and has plenty to offer the visitor at any time of year. The town boasts numerous shops and restaurants to suit all tastes, as well as offering miniature golf, excellent parks, the famous Theatre by the Lake, a charming cinema, the Pencil Museum, a climbing wall, fishing and great mountain biking opportunities, whilst the beautiful lake of Derwentwater at the head of the stunning Borrowdale Valley is only a few minutes walk from the town centre. Nearby, between Braithwaite and Buttermere is the beautiful Newlands Valley, while picturesque Bassenthwaite Lake is well worth a visit.
