    “Not enclosed, therefore not good for dogs.”

    Good location for town and walking the dog. Accommodation very poor. Dirty carpets. Bedding old and duvets not warm enough. No extra bedding. Utensils very poor. Chipped plates, only 3 wine glasses, 4 teaspoons etc. Needs work doing to it. Should not really be let out in current state.

If you are looking for a quiet retreat within easy walking distance of Keswick centre look no further.

The Haven has undergone major refurbishment in preparation for holiday letting and has all the comforts of home.

It is a superb base for exploring the high peaks from the door, lake cruises on Derwentwater or just relaxing in the garden or frequenting some of the many excellent pubs and restaurants Keswick has to offer. Accommodation: Entrance into hallway which runs the length of the property - hooks for outdoor gear.

Lounge with large bay window and fell views, leather sofas, large flat screen TV with Freeview, DVD and flame effect gas fire.

Modern kitchen with cream gloss units, dining table and stable door leading out to garden/patio.

Two bedrooms off the hallway - one twin to the front of the property and a double to the rear.

Family bathroom with bath with shower over, basin and wc. Furniture is mostly modern with neutral decor and soft furnishings.

There are fell views from most windows.

Fitted carpets throughout main living areas and bedrooms, vinyl flooring in kitchen and bathroom.

Gas central heating and hot water and double glazing. Outside: Lawned garden/patio with furniture to the rear of the property with some fell views - ideal for relaxing after a long day walking or sightseeing.

Parking for two small/medium cars or one large car.

Keswick centre approx 10 mins walk. Note: Sorry no cot or high chair available.

Bassenthwaite 7 miles, Ullswater 16.6 miles; Cockermouth 13 miles.

The popular town of Keswick is the holiday centre of the North of the Lake District and has plenty to offer the visitor at any time of year. The town boasts numerous shops and restaurants to suit all tastes, as well as offering miniature golf, excellent parks, the famous Theatre by the Lake, a charming cinema, the Pencil Museum, a climbing wall, fishing and great mountain biking opportunities, whilst the beautiful lake of Derwentwater at the head of the stunning Borrowdale Valley is only a few minutes walk from the town centre. Nearby, between Braithwaite and Buttermere is the beautiful Newlands Valley, while picturesque Bassenthwaite Lake is well worth a visit. From a gentle countryside ramble to a challenging hike up Skiddaw or the famous Catbells, there really is something for everyone. Visit Castlerigg Stone Circle, the Jennings Brewery and Mirehouse, a grand house and gardens on the shores of the Bassenthwaite Lake, or take a fabulous boat trip around Derwentwater. With plenty of attractions for the kids, lovely parks and the nearby Lake District Wildlife Park this is a great Lakeland destination whatever the time of year.
