“I'd like to start by saying I don't normally leave reviews, only for exceptional things and this is one of them.”
If I could I'd give this 6 stars out of 5!
Fell Cottage was an absolutely lovely place to stay, not only a lovely cottage but **exceptionally** well equipped. All too often we've stayed somewhere and its missing the basic items for cooking but not this time.
The BBQ hut was fantastic, again very well equipped and allowed us to have an evening BBQ even when the weather was miserable!
The owners live next door, made us very welcome and couldn't do enough for us.

There is a decent amount of (enclosed) land if you want to take your four legged friend, just be aware the owners have 3 (friendly) dogs and a number of cats if you have a particularly anxious dog.
There were massive amounts of board games, toys and books for little kids, loads of books, magazines and a selection of DVD's (although not mentioned there is a DVD player).
The only negatives being that the WiFi (and phone signal!) isn't great and the entrance doors & hall really are low, watch your head on entering!!
I would very happily go back again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.
