    “One of our party had a nasty accident on the wooden floored landing upstairs, slipping off not very visible steps down from each room to the landing itself.”

    Had to go to an and e, broken metatarsals in her foot. Going to be a long healing process. This has been pointed out to the owners, needs l e d lights or hazard tape on the edges. Also, no handrail up first part of stairs, something needed for older people. Radiator in one bedroom was on full at times and we were unable to turn it off. However, we did have a good holiday, great weather.

The bustling market town of Penrith, once the capital of Cumbria, enjoys a central position between the Lake District, the Westmoorland Dales and North Pennines and is ideally placed for taking in all that the region has to offer.
