There is plenty to see and do - walk from the door for about a mile and a half to catch the launch in to Keswick, and the Newlands Valley Activity Centre is close by where any number of activities such as ghyll scrambling, kayaking, abseiling and pony trekking can be undertaken.
There is some of the best hill walking in the area, lake cruises, country rambles, golf, tennis and a whole host of visitor attractions that are open all year.
The picturesque surrounding scenery is a joy in any season with wonderful lake and mountain views to be enjoyed throughout the National Park.
