“The cottage is really well positioned for travelling around the lake district, but it is bang on a very busy road, also people walk by the windows and can look in, which was uncomfortable, yes there is a blind to pull, but the weather had been so good, we really didn't want to shut it out.”
We used the rear entrance, as we have dogs, and there's a gate. The side door opens into the kitchen. Into the conservatory, where a table for 4 is placed, its bright, clean and functional. Into the kitchen which has an island in the middle, lots of storage which is great, dishwasher, washing machine and fan assisted oven for cooking with electric hob. Large fridge too. Into the front room 2 lovely ĺeather sofas, big TV and a playstation. Upstairs is the bathroom, which is really big, with jacuzzi bath and separate shower, plus WC. The shower is one of the hottest I've ever been in, it was Fantastic! 2 bedrooms upstairs, both have plenty of storage, I stayed in the room next to the bathroom, and when I sneezed, it actually echoed! Large room. Also in the rooms are rather large tvs too. The foam-sponge mattress protector made the beds very hot, but they were very comfortable. I enjoyed my break, but I wouldn't return to stay here as the road is too busy, too close and we really didn't like people walking by looking in. If you are looking for a good location to visit the lake district, this is a good spot. The bins could do with being clearly labelled too, as we were unsure on which was ours to use, all neighbours bins were in one place but not labelled clearly. We used The Pheasant car park, as the parking next to the cottage is tight and the neighbours have large vehicles, which would struggle to park if I parked my car there too.
