    “Langtree is a lovely cottage, accommodating 7 adults well.”

    We spent the week exploring the local area and returning to the comfort of Langtree and its well equipped kitchen for a home cooked meal and a relaxing evening. The garden is really nice and kept our dog secure, it provided a gorgeous sunny spot to sit in the afternoon too. All the rooms were comfortable and the log burner in the lounge was a welcome addition. We had a little problem with the heating when we arrived and the owners came straight to Langtree to try and sort the problem out, they ...

All the rooms were comfortable and the log burner in the lounge was a welcome addition. We had a little problem with the heating when we arrived and the owners came straight to Langtree to try and sort the problem out, they were really lovely and went out of their way to sort the problem The surrounding area is beautiful, with so many walks straight from the door, plus RSPB Leighton Moss just a few minutes drive away and a train which takes you over the estuary in five minutes. A very nice place to stay, we would recommend it.

The property

Langtree is a wonderfully appointed, semi-detached cottage resting just on the edges of the pretty village of Arnside, in Cumbria.

Set over three floors and boasting four bedrooms; a second floor double with en-suite bathroom, a second floor double and twin room followed by a day bed (can only be as 2 singles), sleeping eight people altogether.

There is also a bathroom, upper ground floor shower room, kitchen, living/dining room with woodburning stove.

Outside is an enclosed garden at the rear with a lawned area and patio with furniture, as well as ample off-road parking.

About the location

ARNSIDE

Kendal 10 miles; Windermere 17 miles.

Arnside is situated on the southernmost tip of the Lake District in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, where low limestone hills, marshy plains and deciduous woodlands characterise the surrounding land. This former fishing port has retained many of the features from its past. The beautiful pier and port areas of the village offer stunning views across the Kent Estuary, as well as providing an enduring reminder of Arnside's illustrious history. To the south of the village are the 15th century Pele Towers, which were constructed to defend against the marauding Scots. The local surrounding area is a nature lover's paradise with stunning limestone pavements and wonderful woodland walks through countryside alive with rare plants, trees and wildlife. The internationally renowned Leighton Moss RSPB Reserve is also just one mile away. Guided walks across the Kent Estuary are available, showing the full splendour of the shore and surrounding area. Within easy touring distance are the Lake District and Lune Valley, the Yorkshire Dales and the Forest of Bowland.
