“Nice property next to the river and a good base to explore the Lake District.”

The property itself is very nice and the positives far outweigh the negatives, but we found the mattress to be totally inadequate as it's way too soft and gives no support at all. The sofa is like sitting on a park bench, very uncomfortable. There were no numbers on the outside bins so we did not know where to put our rubbish, and we were only provided with one small bag for the bin under the sink. The key safe has no number on it for the property. Lastly, the bathroom extractor fan was not ...

Lastly, the bathroom extractor fan was not working as far as we could determine, and the shower mat is pretty useless and dangerous. Our major complaints are with the mattress being too soft and the sofa being very uncomfortable, which is subjective; you may like a soft mattress and hard sofa, we unfortunately did not. The other matters are just small gripes really. It would then make it a five‑star property in our opinion.

I’m very disappointed that you have stayed at the property for a week and not contacted us to obtain responses to these queries. We are a family who care very much and love the apartment and the area, having been visitors to it ourselves many times during the year. Some of the issues such as the sofa we are looking to resolve shortly, the issue you raise with the mattress is subjective-we have considered comfort and also added a memory foam element. We already provide tea, good quality cafetière coffee, chocolate and welcome basics for the property, as far as I know none of the other apartments in the block provide anything. I will address the other issues. Thank you for your feedback. Property Owner
