Clock Tower is the mid section of a Grade II-listed Victorian Stable Range built originally to service Boarbank Hall. Set over three floors, the property offers a unique blend of contemporary and traditional features, ideal for a relaxing family holiday in Cumbria.

Enter the dining hall which has plenty of natural lighting and elevated ceilings for a bright and airy feel; here you can enjoy delicious mealtimes or a board game, or carry your conversation into the sitting room, which has a sofa, two armchairs, a woodburning stove, and a Smart TV for on-demand entertainment, ideal for unwinding after a day of countryside ramblings.

With a variety of integrated appliances, ample worktop space, and a central island that doubles as a breakfast bar, the contemporary kitchen is sure to inspire some home cooking.

A lovely spiral staircase leads to the first floor, where you can relax in the snug lounge area or retire to the bedrooms.

The master bedroom has a super-king-size bed and an en-suite shower room, and there is another bedroom on this floor with a double bed and a stylish bathroom.

Climb to the second floor to reveal 2 further bedrooms, which include a double and twin room with vaulted ceilings and Velux windows providing elevated views of the countryside.

Continuing to impress, spend an evening relaxing in the beautiful gardens with some alfresco dining, or indulge in some relaxation time in the bubbling hot tub for even more memorable moments.

You can walk to the nearby village of Cartmel, home to the famous sticky toffee pudding, an array of excellent gastropubs, bars and the renowned L'Enclume restaurant, as well as an ancient 12th century priory and the UK’s smallest racecourse which meets during the spring and summer months.

The village also boasts several local shops where you can stock up on essentials to keep you fed during your self-catered stay.

The southern tip of Lake Windermere at Newby Bridge is just a short drive away where you can enjoy a steam train ride, which meanders to Haverthwaite, you can also embark on a Lakeland steam cruise from the jetty here to popular Bowness and Ambleside, which has The World of Beatrix Potter among its many attractions.
