“When we arrived we discovered that the blind was broken in the bedroom which was bad as there was a street lamp right above.”

Also two bedroom door handles were completely broken. Apparently this was known about but they couldn’t find anyone to fix it - neither did they let us know so we had to complain. We emailed and called and 24 hours later no response so we called Sykes who prompted the owners to reply to the email and say they were finding it hard to get anyone to fix it but they’d be in touch. We didn’t hear from them again. Also the planks under the bed broke during the night. We fixed it in the night as you couldn’t sleep on the bed but I don’t know how long that will last. Apart from that it was lovely. We were disappointed as it was expensive and we didn’t get a decent response to the issues.

Apologies for the issues you faced. Once we were aware of the faulty blind we ordered a new one from Velux and that should arrive and be fitted shortly. We’ve also managed to source replacement door handles. The issue with them is the spring mechanism breaks, we’ve only recently been able to source replacement parts (from Italy) and they’ll be fitted to all door handles as a preventative measure. We’ll also get a local DIY person to look at the bed slats with a view to making them more secure. Apologies once again. Property Owner
