    “Our stay was absolutely brilliant,the cottage has all the facilities you need to make your own dinners as we don't eat out much.”

    The 3 minute walk down to the lakeside to watch the boats etc go by was fab could sit there all day as was so relaxing. Nicole and John are great hosts very easy to talk too. We will definitely be back. Thanks for a great stay x

Waterhead Cottage is set in luscious green and wooded grounds, which are shared with the owner's property, just on the outskirts of Troutbeck Bridge in Cumbria.

With its own private patio and a thoughtfully designed interior making the most of quality fixtures and fittings, this detached abode welcomes couples to share a memorable break away together.

You are in rather a private part of the grounds, well-positioned back from the road with a stone wall and large hedge, so you can take in the scenery an feel at one with nature.

Enter this splendid dwelling into the open-plan living area, which is bright and spacious and offers a lovely spot to relax and unwind with a drink in one hand and a book in the other.

You can even tune into the TV and catch up of some shows or stream your favourite music through the ipod dock as you cook up a tasty dinner in the kitchen.

On a warm summer's day, you can throw open the French doors and let a cool breeze flood the room, then later in the evening once you've had time to unwind, climb the stairs to the double bedroom.

You have a zip/link bed offering flexible sleeping arrangements and there is also an en-suite bathroom along with fitted wardrobes.

Choose to sit out on your own private patio with a rejuvenating drink of your choice as you take in the pleasant atmosphere on a balmy afternoon.

Alternatively, you can stroll the fabulous grounds and find an abundance of wildlife and wooded areas to explore.

Waterhead Cottage also boasts lakeshore access with a private jetty for launching boats, fishing or just simply enjoying the views, and there is the local bus stop and water taxi at the neighbouring Lake District Visitor Centre for your convenience.

Nestled between Ambleside and Windermere, you have a series of shops, pubs and many places to eat out as well as boat trips on the beautiful lake and many other attractions to keep you entertained.

Enjoy a trip to the famous Aquarium or head out to the renowned Grizedale Forest Park for an adventure on foot or on by bike., while Coniston Water, Kendal and Keswick also offer a lovely day out.
