The property

Bramble The Retro Caravan is a charmingly refurbished 1970s retro caravan here at Howdy Glamping, Great Strickland and offers a quaint escape into your own woodland world.

As you enter, you will be greeted by an inviting bedroom, housing a double bed where you can drift off to the sound of nature and awaken in the morning to birdsong.

The room is enhanced by candles and solar lights, adding to the rustic charm of the caravan.

There is an outdoor camping kitchen, it has all you need to make a brew and prepare a hob-based meal.

Tea, coffee, sugar, honey, condiments, pots, pans, cutlery, and crockery are all set out for you to use.

A utility room is also available on-site for your convenience.

After a day of adventures, retreat to the sitting area, where you can curl up on the sofa, adorned with plush cushions, and warm up by the gas fire.

The room is beautifully finished with a wood-clad ceiling, adding to the inviting, rustic feel of the caravan.

A compost WC is available for your use, or a shared shower room.

Step outside, where you can relax on the decking and enjoy the warmth of the woodburning stove.

This is the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy the calmness of the surrounding woodland.

The attractive, unspoilt rural village of Great Strickland is ideally placed for exploring the Lake District and Eden Valley. The village offers a pub, which serves good food and the nearby market town of Penrith has a good selection of shops and restaurants, a cinema and swimming baths. The Lakeland Bird of Prey Centre is only 2 miles away and well worth a visit, or why not cruise on one of Ullswater's motor yachts, which leave hourly from Pooley Bridge, only 5 miles away? The Rheged Discovery Centre in Penrith is the “largest grass covered building in the country” or you might like to visit Dalemain Historic House featured in a television production of Jane Eyre. For those who love the outdoors, the well known "Coast to Coast" walk runs close to Great Strickland and walks abound in the nearby National Park.
