    “Overall I want to say we really enjoyed our stay and it felt plush and luxurious.”

    Spare bins for recycling inside the cottage would be a big help rather than having one generic bin and having to carry the other bits different places. The sofa bottom cushions kept walking from the base and we had to "remake" it twice during our week. No dishwasher was a pain in the butt but this really is a first world problem. Please provide throws for the furniture so if we are on holiday and relax we can relax with our animals as well. I really do want to say I'm almost having to think ...

ARNSIDE

Kendal 10 miles; Windermere 17 miles.

Arnside is situated on the southernmost tip of the Lake District in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, where low limestone hills, marshy plains and deciduous woodlands characterise the surrounding land. This former fishing port has retained many of the features from its past. The beautiful pier and port areas of the village offer stunning views across the Kent Estuary, as well as providing an enduring reminder of Arnside's illustrious history. To the south of the village are the 15th century Pele Towers, which were constructed to defend against the marauding Scots.
