“The house was disappointing, from the pictures, all showers was very small, beds just double, and the bathroom was so small and very very cold.”

There was no kitchen roll holder or tea, coffee, sugar canisters, TVs not working in bedroom. The hand rails on the stairs was very dirty I had to clean them with wipes. Needs updating in bedrooms

We are sorry that you were disappointed with your stay at Oldfield House and are a little confused with your comments. Two bedrooms have King-size beds, en-suites are adequate with one room having a double shower. We do however intend to update the en-suites in 2025. There is no stand alone bathroom, there is modern downstairs WC with a radiator. The TVs should have worked and if not contact with Lakelovers would have given us the opportunity to rectify any issue. We will review the kitchen roll holder but do not intend to provide canisters due to hygiene issues with high numbers of guests. The staircase handrails are not dirty and your "cleaning" with wipes only removes the wood stain. We note that someone in your party had been unwell with evidence of vomit in the downstairs WC and en-suite sink and bedding. We did not charged for the additional cleaning. Property Owner
