“A beautiful property in a very tranquil and relaxing location.”

Very well equipped kitchen with high quality fittings, utensils and cutlery. Furnishings and all fittings tasteful and of equally high quality. We particularly enjoyed having direct access to the lake and short walks to Newby Bridge and Lakeside. Welcome hamper also very much appreciated as was all the information provided for local attractions and the history of the property. Would definitely stay there again if visiting the area.

It is a splendid area to go walking be it a short walk through our private gate and over the meadow to ‘The Swan Hotel’ at Newby Bridge, or pass through the same gate just a short walk to The Lakeside Hotel, the Victorian steam railway station at Lakeside where you can board a steam train to Haverthwaite or board a Windermere Cruiser to Bowness and beyond.

The Aquarium of the Lakes is here too as is a small passenger ferry to take you across the lake to Fell Foot Park which belongs to The National Trust.

On your doorstep you’ll find both the Lakeside Hotel and The Swan Hotel which you can visit for a meal or a tipple or venture further afield to Hawkshead, Bowness-on- Windermere and beyond.
