    “Beautiful family getaway in the heart of Lakes.”

    Everything you could want and more! Bedrooms were great, beds comfy, space to unpack and everyone had peaceful sleep after long days walking and outdoors. Kitchen was well stocked and catered for our children as well, we appreciated the bottle of Prosecco as a welcome gift after a gruelling motorway journey to the property! Hot tub was an added luxury that was enjoyed, and the provided robes made the quick dash to the warmth of the house that bit more manageable (it was October half term after ...

Just a short walk from the centre of Windermere Village, Silver Birches is a beautifully presented, contemporary bungalow, with beautiful garden, summer house and hot tub making it a superb choice for those looking to holiday with friends or family. All laid out on the ground floor, Silver Birches comprises of a spacious lounge / dining area, a well equipped kitchen, three bedrooms including one with a luxurious ensuite shower room and a family bathroom.

The largest bedroom, The Garden Room, can be presented as either a superking or twin bedded room giving the property the extra flexibility to offer great accommodation all year round. Silver Birches is ideally situated on the edge of Windermere Village, with all the local amenities, shops and a great selection of bars and restaurants just a few minutes' walk from the cottage but also offering easy access to the central Lake District making the ideal base for touring and exploring.

Whether it by walking, mountain biking, climbing, sailing or canoeing, all are within easy reach of Silver Birches, along with the huge wealth of cultural attractions the Lake District has to offer. Accommodation in detail Set on a corner plot, on a quiet cul-de-sac and standing in a garden that regularly wins Windermere In Bloom awards, Silver Birches is approached along a short driveway.

Two steps lead up to the front door opens to an inner hallway with boot racks and coat hanging.

The open plan lounge/dinner is a great social space with comfortable sofas arranged around the coffee table, large screen TV and gas fire.

The family dining place is the ideal place to relax over dinner with friends and patio doors open from here to the patio and garden. The well-appointed kitchen is well planned with five ring gas hob, electric double oven, dishwasher, microwave and American style larder fridge / freezer with ice machine.

The utility room is home to the laundry facilities; a washing machine and tumble drier.

The handy cloakroom provides an additional WC. Choose from three bedrooms, the bright and airy, triple aspect “Garden Room” offers lovely views across the garden and can be made up either as a superking or twin 3ft beds (please specify when booking) and patio doors open from here to a small patio with bistro table and chairs and from here steps lead down to the garden.

The second bedroom is furnished with a welcoming superking bed and complemented with a luxurious ensuite shower room with walk in shower, basin and WC.

The third bedroom is well furnished with a king size bed and offers views over the garden.

The smart family bathroom offers a bath, separate electric shower with enclosure, basin and WC. Stepping outside, guests are welcome to enjoy the hot tub and to relax on the patio.

The summer house is the ideal place to escape with a drink and a good book and the mature garden, which includes a small lawned area, wraps around the property.

There is parking for up to two cars on the driveway, with additional on street parking close by.

The garage is available to guests for the secure storage of canoes and mountain bikes. The twin towns of Bowness and Windermere are both vibrant, fun-filled places set within the splendid scenery of the Lake District. Both towns provide a range of amenities, shops and restaurants to suit all tastes whilst Ambleside offers the additional attraction of a boat ride to Bowness, the Lakeside Aquarium and Beatrix Potter's 'Hill Top House' at Sawrey. Grizedale Forest Park is within easy driving distance and is home to a range of activities including many good walks, mountain biking and the 'Go Ape' adventure park.
