Windermere is a small but very well-served Lakeland village, in a great location with excellent links for exploring the entire Lake District.
Only 20 minutes from the M6 and with a train station in the village centre, Windermere is very easy to reach and provides a convenient base even for those who'd prefer not to bring a car.
The high street has a number of interesting local shops, plenty of lazy cafes and a selection of restaurants and traditional pubs.
The renowned Booths supermarket provides all your everyday essentials, along with the finest local produce to enjoy during your stay.
Windermere village is, of course, within very easy reach of the shores of Lake Windermere.
Stroll down to Miller Ground or wander just a couple of miles down the road to Bowness village - where boating activities are the highlight of Bowness Bay.
