“Beautiful property in a stunning location.”

Great base to explore the area from. Very comfy beds, hot tub is well maintained. The kitchen would benefit from a few extra items but nothing crucial. We would definitely come back. The dogs loved the garden too. Owners were very quick to reply on any queries

About the location

NEWBY BRIDGE

Bowness-on-Windermere 8 miles.

The small village of Newby Bridge takes its name from the five arched stone bridge built in 1651 over the River Leven. The famous Furness Railway, one of Britain's oldest working standard gauge steam railways, runs between Haverthwaite and Newby Bridge. Visit the Lakeside Hotels and enjoy magnificent views across Windermere and the surrounding fells, or enjoy the Aquarium of the Lakes, where the naturally themed habitats, bring the history of the Lakes vividly to life. Bowness-on-Windermere provides a lovely day out, plus the picturesque village of Hawkshead still retains the charm and character that so endeared it to its most famous residents - William Wordsworth and Beatrix Potter, and admire the views at nearby Gummer's How.
