The property

Penrith 1.6 miles.

Situated right on the banks of the River Eamont with the sounds of the water rushing by and a woodland backdrop, the opulent Mill End is an ideal getaway for a family or group of friends, resting in Eamont Bridge, near Penrith, Cumbria.

Be welcomed into a beautifully furnished home, built by the owner, and note how care has been taken to create a tasteful property, beginning in the large family kitchen, where there are ample amenities, contemporary furniture and a large breakfast bar, making it ideal for guests to cook and dine together.

The living/dining room has a second dining table, as well as tiled flooring, stylish leather sofas, an electric fire stove and patio doors opening up onto the garden, ideal for letting in the summer's breeze in the warmer months.

Outside, your four-legged companion will enjoy the grass as you dine alfresco or enjoy a glass of your favourite beverage with a view across the river to the woodland countryside, a spot you will have to return to again and again.

The bedrooms mirror the spacious and tasteful design of the living areas, and you will have the choice of a king-size, a double and a twin, each with a TV, plush carpets, and built-in wardrobe for your belongings, along with a large bathroom with black and white tiled flooring, where you can take a relaxing soak amongst the bubbles or a ground-floor shower room for your refreshment.

Eamont Bridge is a riverside village resting beside the Eamont River, within easy reach of The Beehive Inn and several historic sites, including Mayburgh Henge, King Arthur’s Round Table and Eden Millennium Monument.

A little further from the property you will find the delightful town of Penrith, where there is a great selection of eateries, pubs, independent stores to browse at your leisure and convenience stores where you can stock up on essentials.

Penrith is a great little town with walks through Thacka Beck Nature Reserve and Penrith Castle has to be on your itinerary for the day!

Penrith also has a golf course and easy reach to Ullswater, ideal for water sports lovers.

The town is surrounded by two national parks and two Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, so why not head over to the Lake District and visit Windermere, where you can try out wild swimming, watersports and lake cruises or lunch in one of the quaint honey pot villages before embarking on a countryside walk through the rolling hills?

More scenic views are available in North Pennines AONB or the Yorkshire Dales National Park, or for a day at the seaside, travel a little further to Solway Coast AONB.

All of this and so much more with a stay at the beautiful Mills End

The bustling market town of Penrith, once the capital of Cumbria, enjoys a central position between the Lake District, the Westmoorland Dales and North Pennines and is ideally placed for taking in all that the region has to offer. Renowned for its wealth of specialist shops, the sandstone buildings of Penrith hide intriguing yards, lanes and alleyways, with a myriad of attractive cottages, gardens and little shops. With a wide choice of excellent pubs, hotels, restaurants and entertainment, Penrith also offers a museum, and Millennium Trails round the historic city streets.
