    It's a clean, spacious, well laid out property, with generous off-road parking, and an excellent location, both for Pooley Bridge itself and also for exploring the surrounding Lakeland. We'd certainly consider booking again in future.

Eusebank is a lovely, detached bungalow set within a short stroll of Lake Ullswater and the facilities of Pooley Bridge, in the Lake District National Park.

This is a stunning base for couples and small groups seeking the sights of this northern corner of the Lakes, whether by foot, bike or car, and for those wishing to spend their time simply relaxing beside the gentle shores of the lake.

You’ll find everything you need for a comfortable stay, with the accommodation set entirely over the ground floor.

The sitting room comes with a cosy open fire, which can also be used as an electric fire, an essential addition for a memorable, romantic break in Cumbria, where you can settle at the end of the day and share the nostalgia of your holiday so far.

To the front and the back of the property lies a lawned garden, and to the rear there is a patio with furniture, where you can sit on a sunny afternoon and prepare tomorrow’s adventure.

Ullswater provides a very popular area for exciting outdoor activities, including canoeing, rock climbing, ridge walking and abseiling to name but a few.

Many charming Lakeland villages are scattered all around, worthy of a visit, and the lofty peaks provide all the inspiration one needs for wonderful walks.

The scenic backdrop of Lake Ullswater is thought to have inspired Wordsworth's iconic poem Daffodils, with a steamer cruise across its waters the perfect way to enjoy the surrounding fells.

Whether you’re in search of the solitude treasured by Wordsworth, or the bustling towns popular with tourists, there is something to appeal to everyone from this delightful cottage.

POOLEY BRIDGE

The picturesque village of Pooley Bridge sits on the northerly edge of Lake Ullswater in the Lake District National Park. The name Pooley came to be due to the forming of a large pool, which was left by the fast flowing River Eamont, and the word Bridge was later added when a bridge, which is now 250 years old, was built over the river. Pooley Bridge has many traditional inns and tempting tea rooms, plus the Ullswater Steamers depart from the village, from where a tranquil cruise down the lake to the villages of Glenridding and Howtown can be enjoyed. There are numerous walks with breathtaking views nearby, plus a short walk up to Dunmallard Hill reveals fascinating Iron-Age remains, whilst the towns of Penrith and Keswick are within driving distance. Pooley Bridge is an ideal base for a cottage holiday stay in the stunning Lake District.
