The property

Set in a small cul-de-sac, surrounded by a group of other charming properties, is this delightful semi-detached cottage.

This property is just as suitable for friends as it is for families, its superb layout is ideal and its location to the village of Cark-in-Cartmel gives access to some excellent pubs, which make it exceptional.

Enter into the spacious open-plan living space, with a large corner sofa to cosy up under a blanket with the provided TV as your entertainment.

There is a small desk area, ideal for studying, reading or planning the day's events at, with a bookcase holding a selection of books and board games for those quieter evenings.

The sitting room benefits from a set of patio doors, which look out over the garden and add an abundance of natural light to the property.

The kitchen has a set of wooden units and sleek granite worktops, holding all the necessary appliances for rustling up some home-cooked meals, with a dining area to accompany and where you can toast to a wonderful holiday.

Choose from a super-king-size bedroom with zip and link features, easily made into two singles upon request, or a double.

Each bedroom has a selection of contemporary furniture for storage purposes and lovely bedside tables and lamps for some late night reading.

Step out to the rear enclosed patio area where you can sit during the summer months with a refreshing drink, there is also a shed in the garden which can be used for storage of outdoor items and there is a BBQ too.

Cark-in-Cartmel is an excellent village with a convenience store for picking up any last-minute ingredients for an evening meal, or some pubs and restaurants if you don't fancy cooking one evening.

Discover the 400-year-old Holker Hall and Gardens, the home of Lord and Lady Cavendish, perfect for exploring at any time of year.

The cottage also benefits from being close to the beautiful Lake District National Park, where you can explore many rural sites with your four-legged friend by your side.

Lake Windermere is hugely popular for a variety of watersporting opportunities, particularly sailing, fishing and kayaking.

The Lake District gives access to a number of bustling towns such as Kendal, Bowness-on-Windermere, Ambleside and Keswick, all rich with tourist attractions.

Literature lovers will delight in exploring Dove Cottage and The Wordsworth Museum, the former home of famous poet William Wordsworth and his sister Dorothy who constructed the country garden outside themselves.

Cark in Cartmel is a small Lakeland village just two miles from Cartmel, one of the prettiest villages in the Lake District. Cark is well served by the Furness line railway, and features pretty streamside strolls, lovely walks to the local coastline overlooking Morecambe Bay, two fine traditional old pubs and a scattering of small shops. It is a very short stroll from here to Holker Hall, the stately home of Lord Cavendish, whose house, gardens and deer park are open to the public and also now home to a licensed brasserie The Ilex. Take advantage of excellent walking opportunities amidst beautiful unspoilt countryside or visit The National Hunt Racecourse, the Campbell Legend Bluebird Exhibition and the Lakeland Motor Museum, all close by. Nearby Cartmel offers quaint cobbled streets littered with antique shops, charming gift shops, welcoming traditional pubs serving real ales, and the nationally acclaimed Michelin Star awarded L'Enclume restaurant.
