A 5 minute walk to the Aldi and Marks and Spencer supermarkets. Rowley suite is well equipped. We explored the lakes as far as buttermere and enjoyed some breathtaking walks and scenery. Rowley suite is looking a little tired and really could do with a new rug and scatter cushions in the lounge area as the current ones are shabby. New pillows, duvet and particularly bath towels need replacing as very worn. The reed diffuser in the entrance lobby was bone dry and had not been refilled, which is a shame as Wax Lyrical is only a couple of miles up the road and prices so very affordable. The biggest let down unfortunately was the noise coming from above Rowley suite. It was so bad that we convinced ourselves there must be workmen carrying out repairs or renovating the above accommodation. I did contact the owner of the problem and I believe Mike spoke to the family above and asked them to stop it but unfortunately the problem only became worse over our week stay causing a real noise pollution. We made the most of our time exploring what the lake district has to offer but unfortunately it is with a heavy heart that we wouldn't return due to the disturbance of unacceptable noise. We wish Mike and his team continued success. Many thanks.
