    “The lodge was a good size and good kitchen and hot tub but the rest of the lodge is very dated.”

    The tv is absolutely tiny in the living room and main bedroom and it is not a smart tv either. The WiFi is terrible and kept cutting out. The main bedroom bed is a small double and the mattress was comfortable but the pillows were not. The Hoover is not great and is also quite big and hard to move around and doesn’t really pick much up, could do with updating. The location itself was great right near Windermere and just a short walk down to the lakeside. The hot tub was lovely and it has ...

Overall had a nice break here and would come back but would try to find maybe a more up to date lodge. For £600 + for 5 nights I’d expect a little more for my money from the lodge.

    Thank you for your feedback which we value to ensure we can keep our lodge up to date. I’m afraid we have no control over the WiFi due to the area and we do mention this in the lodge details. We will be updating the television to a smart TV in October. The double bed in the main bedroom is a full size double, but not a king size.The pillows are checked regularly but I will update these if required and the same for the hoover. I’m glad that you enjoyed your stay overall. Property Owner

The property

This beautiful holiday home is situated on a well-maintained holiday park, nudging the shores of Lake Windermere, in a superb area of Cumbria. Well-presented throughout, with plush furnishings, spotlights on the ceiling and dual aspect allowing the natural light in, enjoy a refreshing break with your loved ones. Sink into one of the sofas after a day on the fells, turn on the TV and relax through to the evening, before getting together for a delicious family meal around the dining table. The kitchen is wonderfully appointed for assisting your stay comfortably, with sleek worktops and a skylight overhead. Resting all on ground floor, there are three bedrooms, one with an en-suite, followed by a neutrally designed shower room. Outside, you can take in the natural surroundings on the terrace, with a luxurious, private hot tub and barbecue for alfresco dining. Just a short stroll away, is the lake shore, where you can see the boats being moored. Take a picnic with you and feed the ducks as you watch the tangerine sun set beyond the horizon. The on-site facilities include an indoor heated swimming pool, a restaurant with takeaway menu, a bar with live entertainment during high season, plus a shop and laundry room. The kids will love a game of football or basketball after exploring the play area. Brockhole Visitor Centre has a tree-top adventure course and glorious gardens meeting the glistening waters of Lake Windermere.
