Nestled in the idyllic hamlet of Allerby, near the village of Allonby, Cumbria, is this beautifully presented barn conversion.
This inviting dwelling is an ideal base for families and friends looking to explore the northern lakes, Cumbria’s coastline or venture to the buzzing foodie market town of Cockermouth and Keswick. Upon arrival you are greeted by off-road parking for two cars, positioned directly outside the property so you can easily unload your belongings.
Step inside and make yourself at home in the light and airy open plan lounge and dining area, complete with two sofas, an electric fire and Smart TV, inviting you to settle down and enjoy a movie night.
Dust off those cooking books in the kitchen, equipped with all the necessities for home-cooking, including a washing machine so you won’t have to pack your whole wardrobe!
Once breakfast, lunch or dinner is ready, gather at the dining table, comfortably seating six people, a great spot for spending quality time together and planning the following day’s adventures.
Spend a moment in the front patio, sipping on a cold beverage or morning coffee.
The ground-floor plays host to a double bedroom and wet room, ideal for those with limited mobility, whilst the second-floor offers two neatly presented doubles boasting exposed beams, one of which features an en-suite bathroom and the other offers an en-suite shower room. Head north to the village of Allonby, home to two pubs where you can enjoy a pint and bite to eat, a tearoom and a village store which has sold homemade ice cream for over 100 years.
Keen cyclists can join the Solway Coaster Cycleway, offering a scenic trail along the coast, whilst those looking to get their steps in can explore the Cumbria Coastal Walk which passes through the village, or how about a round of golf at one of the nearby courses?
For something different visit The Lakes Distillery at Bassenthwaite or The Beacon at historic Whitehaven. The delights of the Lake District await, with excellent hiking routes around Skiddaw and the attractions of Keswick easily accessible.

The stunning Whinlatter Forest Park, near Keswick is a haven for mountain bikers and walkers and the Go Ape high wire adventure course is ideal for the more adventurous.
